On July 9, Nyla Matuk and Saeed Teebi read new and forthcoming poetry and fiction, followed by a conversation that considered how diaspora Palestinians write from within cultures of censorship, avoidance, and the dissembling discourses of colonialism and denial. They explored the importance of Palestinian identity and belonging in writing about Palestine and the transnational nature of Palestinian literature.
