Your Own Maktaba: A workshop with Sundus Abdul Hadi x FARR was hosted in April
When we were invited by FARR (Fine Arts Reading Room) at Concordia to facilitate a workshop this past April, we designed the workshop, "Your Own Maktaba: Building our Personal Libraries"
The books we choose to keep become reflections of our identities, our era, our inspirations, and the futures we hope to imagine. In this workshop, Maktaba's founder Sundus Abdul Hadi workshopped the idea of building our own personal libraries by discussing archival practices, careful curation, and knowledge building through books.
Each participant was asked to bring a book from their own personal library. It was so inspiring, we might just do it again <3
